You'll experience a fully guided quad bike safari on the Port Stephens sand dunes at Stockton Beach. Included is 15 minutes of professional training, 15 minutes 4WD transport each way through bush tracks to the beach, and approximately 1 hour riding 350cc Yamaha Grizzly quad bikes across dunes and beachfront terrain. Total experience time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Helmets and all safety gear are included in the price.

How fast do we go on the quad bikes?

You choose your speed — we tailor the tour to your group. Fast riders can reach up to 40km/h along the beach (the maximum legal speed). Medium pace is a confident, flowing ride across the dunes. Relaxed is a steady pace. Riders aged 16–17 ride the same safari but are capped at 20km/h. There is no pressure to keep up.

What quad bikes do you use?

We use 350cc Yamaha Grizzly quad bikes — real machines, not toys. They are semi-automatic with a simple thumb-throttle and hand-brake (no gears, no clutch). All bikes are registered and sand-optimised for Stockton Beach conditions and are maintained daily by our mechanical team.

Absolutely. Most of our riders are first-timers. The bikes have a simple thumb-throttle and hand-brake — no gears, no clutch. Every tour begins with a full training session, and our guides ride with you and adjust spacing throughout so you always feel comfortable.

Yes. All tours are fully guided at all times by experienced local guides. We operate a strict no-racing, no-overtaking policy. Helmets and protective gear are provided and mandatory. Our sand-optimised quad bikes are maintained daily. We have 15+ years of operation with an outstanding safety record. No alcohol or drugs are permitted — riders affected by either will be refused with no refund.

What should I wear for a quad bike tour?

Accepted Answer

Closed shoes are mandatory — no thongs, sandals or open-toed footwear. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting sandy or dusty. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and plenty of water. We provide helmets and all safety equipment — nothing extra to buy.

Who can ride? What are the age and rider requirements?

Accepted Answer

Riders must be 16 or older to operate a quad bike. All riders aged 16–17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire tour, and photo ID is required for underage riders. Teens ride the same safari as adults but are speed-limited to 20km/h. No licence is required. No doubling up is permitted on any bike.

What is the cancellation policy?

We offer free cancellation and a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour. No refunds are provided within 48 hours of the tour time or for no-shows. If fewer passengers arrive than originally booked, no refund applies unless 48+ hours notice was given.

Can I reschedule my quad bike booking?

Yes. Rescheduling is allowed with at least 24 hours notice. A rescheduling fee of $25 per person applies. Contact us to reschedule your booking.

What happens if I arrive late?

Accepted Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. We cannot hold the ride for late arrivals. No refund is provided for late arrivals. We will try to place late arrivals on a later tour the same day if space allows, but this is often not possible.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

Accepted Answer

Quad Bike King is an all-weather activity. Rain, wind and overcast conditions generally do not affect tours. In extreme weather that poses a safety risk, we reserve the right to alter or cancel the tour and will contact you directly. We do not accept cancellations due to wet or windy weather unless 48+ hours notice is provided.

What payment methods do you accept?

Book and pay securely online with a credit card. A 2% credit card processing fee applies. Direct deposit is also accepted — contact us before booking to arrange this. All advertised prices include taxes and there are no hidden fees.
